What to do with the time that is given to us; Exploring the world one race at a time

This year's Tillotson Lecture will be given by Old Boy Mobeen Qureshi (Class of 2009), a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon working in the North West of England who recently took time out of training to take part in the BBC's Race Across the World.

Mobeen's job is to diagnose and treat conditions of the musculoskeletal system including bones, joints and structures that enable movement such as ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2015 and has been in training since then having experienced various branches of medicine before settling on becoming a surgeon.

During Race Across the World, he and his wife Zainib competed against four other teams to travel across Canada, from Vancouver, British Columbia, to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

This will be the 52nd Tillotson Lecture held at Bolton School.
