On Tuesday 20 March, a squad of four Year 9s and four Year 10 & 11s played in the Greater Manchester County Badminton Finals.
Schools from across the county have won their respect area competitions to qualify to the event, so the standard was high. The Year 9s finished top of the key stage 3 group, and went on to win their semi-final comfortably before winning the final four games to one. This was a wonderful display of badminton and shows how much progress the squad have made through their practice weekly in school as well as playing outside of school.
The Year 10 & 11s also played well and made it to the semi-finals, before finishing in third place. This was a great achievement as schools from across the county were playing.
