Yahya Khan, a Year 3 boy at Park Road, the Junior Boys’ School of Bolton School, has signed an Under 9s’ academy contract with Preston North End. It puts the eight-year-old on the performance pathway of professional football.
Yahya’s journey in academy football started at the age of five, when he was scouted by Manchester City. Shortly afterwards, he was also scouted by Manchester United where he spent almost two years training with the club. Yahya went on to train with Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers for a period of time. Despite other offers, Yahya decided to commit to Preston North End where we hopes to develop his football career.
