Girls Join Lancashire Lacrosse U18 Teams

Thirteen Girls’ Division pupils in Years 10 to 13 have been selected for Lancashire Lacrosse U18 Teams this season.

Joining the A Team were Ella Brophy (Year 11), Chloe Ferguson (Year 13), Martha Halford (Year 12), Phoebe Hurt (Year 13) and Frankie Williams-Denton (Year 12).

Eight girls were selected for the B Team: Anna Brennand (Year 10), Eve Gould (Year 13), Molly Grimshaw (Year 10), Alexia Howarth (Year 10), Ruby Hurt (Year 11), Alice Leary (Year 12), Pip Nuttall (Year 10) and Jade Sprott (Year 11)

Both teams competed in the Northern Counties Tournament held at Queen Margaret’s School in York at the end of November. The A Team won all of their matches and brought home the trophy, while the B Team finished  a close second place.

Frankie Williams-Denton was voted the A Team’s MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the tournament.
