Bolton Girls Help Lancs Become Northern Lacrosse Champions

A large group of lacrosse players from Bolton School Girls’ Division have helped Lancashire U15s become Champions of the North.

Emma Arnison, Amelia Crompton, Francesca Dewhurst, Lily-Grace Greer, Maya Guhathakurta, Molly Grimshaw, Rosie Heywood, Alexia Howarth, Olivia Laithwaite, Pip Nuttall and Sienna White all represented the A Team. Molly Grimshaw and Alexia Howarth were Joint Captains and Emma Arnison was voted the most valuable player of the tournament!

Anna Brennand, Ella Clarkson, Tia Fitzgerald, Aaliyah Karim, Evie Morris and Gabrielle Read all represented the B Team. Anna Brennand and Evie Morris were both Joint Captains and Anna Brennand picked up the most valuable player of the tournament award.

The girls competed in the Northern Counties Tournament at Queen Margaret’s School in York last weekend, with both teams beating Cheshire, Shropshire and Yorkshire in their respective groups, to become Champions of the North.

PE Teacher Miss Donaghy said: ‘This is a fantastic achievement for the girls at Bolton School, who form a large majority of the Lancashire County squads.
