Jamie Death, a Year 13 student at Bolton School Boys’ Division, is currently ranked as the GB number one in his weight category at judo. This rating was bestowed upon him after he won the English Open Judo Championships at Under 21 level in the Under 81kg category. His achievement is all the more impressive given it has been his first year as a junior and he has been up against some full-time athletes. Once he has completed his A levels, Jamie moves on to a number of European competitions.
Jamie recently won his School's Hindley Trophy for sporting achievement, which he picked up during a recent Cups and Colours assembly.
