Children and parents at Beech House, the Infant School for 4-7 year olds at Bolton School, have collected an impressive collection of products and funds for local children and families that are less fortunate themselves.
Commenting on how monies have been spent, teacher Miss Amani Niaz, who is an Old Girl of the School and organiser of the campaign, said: ‘I bought lots of warm clothes from Primark and we went to Smyths Toys at Middlebrook to purchase toys for lots of children. Smyths kindly donated some gifts to us. There have been many trips to Asda for food and home bargains for toiletries also. We will be donating to Chorley New Road Primary School, St James Primary School in Gorton and Haslam Park Primary School in Bolton.
‘The Sprinkle of Kindness appeal has been growing and growing each year with the generous donations from parents, children and my colleagues at Beech House and my family and friends. I want to say a huge thank you to them for their support. It’s heart-warming to know that many families will have food and clothes this winter and children will have something to open this Christmas.’
